What I loved the most was seeing their excitement every month. They truly enjoyed learning and being able to be involved in the meal preparation. This program challenged young children to go out of their comfort zone in a healthy & positive way. — Mia D., volunteer at West Elementary
I get an almost tangible feeling that I am making a small difference in my community; that means the world to me as I was raised in the same county as these children. I know what it’s like to get to college before you know all of the fruits and vegetables and it fills my heart with joy to change that reality for a few local kids. I gained leadership skills. I realized my potential to lead people through cooking and through discovering food in a friendly atmosphere. — Raina S., volunteer at The Plains Elementary and Morrison-Gordon Elementary
I really enjoyed helping out with My First 5K practice. It is amazing how much you can help without even realizing it. Helping coach my group was my favorite part of the week – OU exercise physiology student & My First 5K trainer
