A local high schooler and inspirational young leader, Hannah Bernstein, received a grant to have us teach a six-session cooking workshop at Athens High School. She wrote a glowing article that we want to share with you.
Hannah is a captivating writer, detailing her experience with COVID-19, food insecurity, Joe Burrow, and finally writing and receiving the grant to address a need she identified at her school.
Thank you to Hannah Bernstein for taking the initiative to serve her community. And thank you to Ms. Gagliano, the teacher at Athens High School who organized and supported the Cooking Club, held during school hours to make it more accessible to every student. We also want to thank GENYOUth’s AdVenture Capital Big Idea Challenge Grant for making this project possible.
